Texas Biscuits
Woke up early today to bake these biscuits for the dad in the house because they are his favorite. Got the texture pretty close to the original so I’m happy. Try this RECIPE ~ they are really good!

Yields : 6 Biscuits (7 cm diameter)
Ingredients
300 g (2 and 1/2 cup) all purpose flour
115 g (1 stick) cold butter
2 tbsp granulated sugar or to taste
4 tsp baking powder
140 ml (half cup + 2 tbsp) fresh milk
2 tsp white vinegar
1 tbsp double cream
some honey and butter for brushing after baking
Method
01 Preheat oven to 180C. In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, sugar and baking powder together. Give it a stir to mix well. Add the cold butter. Using a butter knife, cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles breadcrumbs. Use your hands to rub the remaining small pieces of butter into the flour when it gets difficult to cut.
02 In a cup, mix the vinegar and fresh milk together. Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture. Add the double cream. Use a spatula to mix until a dough is formed. Do not overmix.
03 Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Spoon the dough onto the baking tray. You will get 6 large portions or 8 smaller portions.
04 Bake in the preheated oven at 180C/350F for 20 mins or until the top is slightly browned. Remove from the oven and immediately brush with softened salted butter. Drizzle with honey. Best served immediately.
Notes
You may replace the double cream with whipping cream or thickened cream.
