This is the the RECIPE for Homemade BBQ Sauce. It is a versatile sauce that you can use for multiple dishes. Store in the refrigerator and it can keep for up to a month.

Servings : 2 jars (250 ml/8.5 oz each)


Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper

  • 2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp ginger powder

  • 470 ml (2 cup) ketchup

  • 120 ml (1/2 cup) apple cider vinegar

  • 75 g (1/3 cup) brown sugar

  • 1 tsp paprika powder (optional)

Method

01 Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan. Stir to mix well.

Bring to the boil while stirring constantly.

02 Allow to simmer for 10 mins. Turn off heat and let cool for 15 mins.

03 Transfer the cooked BBQ sauce to a clean sterilized jar with a lid. Allow to cool completely.


Notes

Store the jar in the refrigerator. Can keep for up to a month in the refrigerator. Use a clean, dry spoon each time you need to use the sauce.
