Ingredients
500g tee kuih/nian gao/kuih bakul/steamed glutinous rice cake
300g grated coconut/desiccated coconut
pinch of salt
Method
01 Steam the grated coconut with salt for 5 mins.
02 Add in the sliced tee kuih/nian gao/kuih bakul/steamed glutinous rice cake. Steam for another 10mins.
03 Remove from heat and serve.

Notes
You can also dip the sliced Glutinous Rice Cake with batter and deep fry. Sandwich each slice between one slice of sweet potato and one slice of yam/taro. Dip into a batter of half rice flour and half all purpose flour mixed with just enough water to form a thick batter. Season batter with salt to taste. Deep fry till golden brown and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
